We still have Montmorency and Balaton tart cherries and Hudson black sweet cherries to hand-pick on the farm, but the season will soon be over. We hope to have our cherries on the counter at the market all week.
This is the first day we will be picking our earliest peaches. Early peaches often have split pits, so it is a good idea to be careful when eating them so you don’t chomp down on an errant piece of the pit. We also are picking our mid-season apricots, and should have good quantities of them at the market this week. Today we’ll also have a few grape tomatoes; they are just starting to produce nice ripe ones. We have some bell peppers and hot peppers starting to get ripe, as well.
Be sure to turn right as you enter the market; on that wall is the sampling shelf, filled with the fruits of the season for you to try! Hope to see you soon!
