I went a little overboard in ordering Country Dairy Ice Cream (made in New Era, Michigan) for our market. Now that we have a display freezer, I was very excited to be able to offer our local Country Dairy Ice Cream, and I wanted to have a great variety of flavors, not just the classics of Grandpa’s Vanilla and Dutch Chocolate. It was hard to choose, but we now have eleven wonderful flavors of Country Dairy Ice Cream in half-gallons, including A Moo’s Mint, Triple Cho-cow-late, Peanut ‘Udder Bliss, HayDay (salted caramel with peanuts) , Hoofprints (classic caramel with caramel cups), Mooey Gooey Fudge, Strawberry Patch, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Michigan Black Cherry.
As if that isn’t tasty enough, we also currently have all nine flavors of the Ice Box Brand mini ice cream bars that are made with Country Dairy Ice Cream and other quality ingredients. Artisan-made in Whitehall, Michigan (not too far south of Country Dairy), these bars are small enough to have as a treat, without feeling guilty about the calories!
Be sure to try the flavors while we have them–our display freezer is packed, and we won’t carry all of the flavors in the future. (We are squeezing out the locally handmade pies from Wheeler Farms, that are ready for you to bake at home and enjoy the aroma and the flavor. I wasn’t very good at estimating the available space in the freezer.) Every day in the summer is a good day for ice cream!
