Our flat peaches are just coming into production, and this is the first year that we will have all three varieties that we have planted. (Last year they all froze out, like so many other things.) What’s a flat peach, you say? It’s an odd-looking peach that is shaped like a bagel, with indentations on both sides instead of a hole in the middle. Flat peaches have very small, squatty pits, and a sweet flavor that is unique to them. Their skin is velvety, not as fuzzy as other peaches. Do yourself a flavor–try a flat peach this summer!
